a sonic exploration of memory and environment, blending field recordings into immersive, abstract landscapes
Places IV continues my exploration of sound as a way to evoke a feel of space - real, imagined, and reimagined. The album deconstructs and reshapes everyday sounds into immersive textures, blurring the line between documentary and abstraction. Each track acts as an auditory snapshot - a soundscape, carrying traces of its origin while transforming into something unfamiliar, inviting deep listening and personal interpretation.

Dan Lavee

Dan Lavee, from Haifa, Israel, is a composer and audio specialist, working with electronic and acoustic sound through performance, recording, and production. Performs live with electronics, DIY instruments, and bass.
Transitioning from visual arts to music has enriched my creative process with a deep sense of color and imagination. Music is my primary language, and my compositions are ranged from solo pieces to projects for theater, film, and other artistic contexts. My approach translates visual, imagined, or reimagined imagery into intricate soundscapes, and by merging live instruments with modern production techniques, I continuously explore new avenues in musical storytelling. Each project is an exploration, inviting audiences to engage with music in a direct and immersive way.
